time for baroque.

Of all the Fall 2012 trends, baroque is my favorite. I love details, I pour over them with an OCD kind of attitude. I always think that's where the magic lies and in the words of the late Gianni Versace, "more is more". So when I saw Andrew Yee's editorial for How To Spend It Magazine,  I was completely enamored by the gaudy fairytale each picture represents. To me, the editorials you can dream about are always the best kind.

the b's wardrobe

Recently, I've become utterly obsessed with Don't Trust The B in Apartment 23. The storyline and script is hilarious in a very quirky and almost dark sense- think the opposite of New Girl...or New Girl gone evil? Either way, its got me hooked and the main character Chloe's wardrobe is the perfect companion to her witchy ways. Its a mix of sleek chic and quirky gone rogue- a great combination for anyone wanting to look effortlessly cool.

In my complete obsession, I decided to break down her wardrobe into basics and feature it as my style crush of the moment.

Accessories can make or break an outfit. Chloe's mix of sleek streamlined jewelry paired with bright red glasses are instant chic. To clarify, pulling of chic is really just the right mix of neutral pieces with one key item. Anyone looking to have some fun with this combo can switch up the glasses for red heart-shaped glasses- adding a little quirk always makes me smile.

One of the major key basics for Chloe's character are mini dresses, in every shape and color. I particularly love the craziness of this outfit.

Black is another key basic for Chloe- but hey its arguably the most universal chic color, right?. I love how they keep Chloe's outfits interesting in cute ways, adding a wide bright belt will not only cinch in your waist and accentuate curves, but also make you interesting.

I think the main reason I love Chloe's wardrobe so much is because it always looks polished and fun- if I had to pick the number one way to dress up an outfit to look chic and effortless, it would be: add a black blazer. Bam! Instant class.

hey there lady

I love a clean lady-like ensemble with a little bit of attitude. This editorial is full of clean-cut looks with diva attitude- the only way to pull it off, of course!
